Tru-Target Ranging System

Whether you hunt with a bow or rifle, Nikon has the right Laser Rangefinder to match your hunting style and budget with fast, accurate reads, unmatched ½-yard precision and single button simplicity. What about the recent crop of “ballistic rangefinders” out there? When you crunch the numbers it becomes clear that Nikon’s unmatched ½-yard precision becomes the most important feature to consider for real world hunting situations. For example, take an average bow hunt: You’re 15 feet up a tree, the deer measures 25 yards from your position. The aiming distance, when compensating for angle, from you to the deer, is 24.5-yards—exactly ½-yard of difference. Move that deer out to 40 yards and the compensated aiming distance is 39.7 yards. Even if your stand is 20 feet up and the deer measures 45 yards away, your aiming distance would be 44.5 yards—all within Nikon’s level of accuracy. Now factor in that the competitors’ rangefinders are only accurate to ±1 yard, and you can see beyond the fuzzy math to how those less-accurate rangefinders can actually have a negative impact on your shot.
